This hinterland home is set amongst tall trees and birds. The existing timber weatherboard house was renovated in 2020 to capture the views of the natural bushland on the block and views to the rolling hills beyond. 

 

Utilising and reconfiguring the existing footprint of the building minimised the environmental impact of the renovation on the surrounding land and achieved new spaces on a modest budget. 

 

The inclusion of a pool landscaped area adds to the retreat feel of the property and creates an oasis for relaxed family living. The timbers used in key features of the home were sustainably and locally sourced from Amber Creek Sawmill in Fish Creek.
